The Weather Channel put up a map reflecting weather bureau predictions in regard to rain flooding potentials from Hurricane Hilary.
The above graphic from The Weather Channel reflects forecasts of the potential rain totals when Hurricane Hilary, downgraded to a tropical storm and then to a tropical depression, moves across Southern California, Arizona and Nevada. The forecast of 2-3 inches in Death Valley would exceed the normal annual rainfall of 2 inches per year.
THE NBC television station in San Diego has an explanation of the rain/wind impacts likely. At left, a satellite image of the hurricane from earlier today. The major landmass at the upper portion is the southwestern US states.
